Working as guides on the island Crete, we have covered a lot of ground on the island. Private tours, groups with special interests, such as archaeology, history, traditions, music brought us in every corner of the island…. We are not experts in photography – more like amateurs in the field of photography, but we have become passionate about captioning the real Crete in every picture. Our experience on what the island has to offer can help to plan the ideal route on Crete. We have our own company vehicles and we provide transportation arrangements to professional or amateur photographers that wish to explore Crete. The landscape of Crete has variations that can surprise the visitors. The weather can also vary – Cloudless sunsets and sunrises during summer, but amazing cloud formations during winter, usually clouds and rainy weather can add depth to your pictures… The island is a nice and fun place to take photographs and the people are kind and always eager to help.
Whether you need transportation arrangements or a guide to provide inside information, we are here to assist you. We can provide chauffeur service, we can start early to catch the perfect light and get the ideal picture…
November to March you can find low prices in everything… Accommodation, flights, etc. Do not miss the opportunity to explore more during the season and enjoy the privacy that the island can offer, without the crazy pace of the touristy summer….
Highlights that you can include in your plans:
Balos Lagoon, one of the most impressive beaches of the world, located west of Chania. Access during winter might be a challenge, due to weather conditions, but the stunning view from the hills will reward your patience.
Elafonissi, the beach with the pink sand … Nice and quiet during the winter period, the surrounding hills of the area trap the clouds adding depth to your pictures.
The gorges: Kourtaliotiko, Richtis, Zakros, Samaria, Imvros, Patsos, there are so many on Crete…
The Caves: Psychron, Sfendoni, Melidoni…
The mountains and the valleys: Ida, Madares, Lassithiotika and of course Mesara plain and Ierapetra.
The coves: Triopetra, Ayios Pavlos, Preveli …
The villages: Amari region with the small villages, Loutro, Sfakia, Elos, Rodakino, Xyloskalo…
The roads: Yes, the roads… They are also interesting, due to the mountainous landscape of Crete, it was a challenge to connect the small villages with the city centers of the north shore of Crete. The infrastructure of Crete provides so many opportunities to just stop on the right and take a picture…!!!
