Yes , but why at 18.00? It is quiet at that time – before closing the site is almost empty – even during the peak season . There will be shade and we will avoid the heat

As registered professional licensed guides, we are offering a shared based, basic tour of Knossos, every day at 18.00 ( from May 2nd to October 1st. ( other time slots and dates are available if you have your own group and you wish to meet your guide at Knossos for a guided tour – so in this case , please contact us to make your arrangements). Book through our agency and enjoy a group tour of Knossos palace, with the safety that we can guarantee. We are providing audio system ( whispers ) to all participants, in order to secure the distances and provide quality of service . We propose, to bring your own 3.5 mini jack hands free, for sanitary reasons. The capacity of each group is set to maximum of 8 participants, in order to be able to move around the palace and see as much as possible, avoiding the crowds. We can arrange to prebuy the tickets for the palace for you and your friends or family. There are no combined tickets – but the Knossos tickets have a time slot / appontment . Once we issue the ticket for a certain time slot – we can not change and the value of the ticket is not refundable.
How many participants ? Maximum participants up to 8 – audio system used to secure the proper distances among the participants ( protocol due to the Coronavirus)

Why at 18.00 ? : The majority of the organized groups and cruise ship passengers reach Knossos early in the morning and usually the archaeological site is crowded. To avoid the long lines, the crowds and the heat of the summer, we choose to provide the tour at 18.00.
Cost? The cost of the tour, per participant / adult is 60 euro (guiding fee) entrance fee is not included . If you wish us to help you arrange the tickets , kindly let us know ( add at the notes area during the booking )
I will visit the museum on my own in the morning, can I buy the ticket and visit Knossos in the afternoon with you ? Yes of course, we recommend you to go early in the morning at the museum of Heraklion and enjoy the museum on your own, it is nice and quiet around 8.30 to 9.00. All groups visit the museum later, around 10.30 to 11.00. If you visit the museum first, buy the combined ticket from the museum, you can visit Knossos with us later in the afternoon with the same ticket….

I have a small group – can I arrange another time for the tour ? Yes of course , If you are a small group of friends or a big family that you wish to visit Knossos at a different time than the one we offer online, you can contact us to make your own arrangements for your tour . Same options apply, we can prearrange the tickets for you and we can send you a link for the payment. We will advise the best possible time of the appointment, to avoid the crowds as much as possible. Just let us know the number of participants, the time you wish to have the tour and if you wish the entrance fees included – so that we can send you a link for the payment.
Entrance fee? The cost of the entrance fee is as listed at Knossos, according to the Ministry of Tourism. You can book your entrance fee online on your own if you wish ( at the website of the Ministry of Culture ) or you can contact us to prearrange the tickets for you. ( add a note during the payment process to inform us about the tickets that you will need – and you can pay the tickets cash directly to the guide on the date of issue).
Can you pre-buy the tickets for me? We, as a registered travel agency, can prebuy the entrance fees and provide the skip the line service. We can provide, upon your request, the combined ticket for Knossos ( which gives you access to the museum of Heraklion – and you can choose to visit the museum on your own in the next three days from the date of issue). We can secure the skip the line entry to the site and the combined ticket, just let us know how many combined tickets you will need. There is no combined ticket for both sites – due to the time slots . ( Knossos and the museum tickets does no longer exists as during previous years. ) . The cost of Knossos palace entry is 20 euro, you can add a note if you wish that option and you can pay directly the guide on the date of issue. The cost of the tickets is a subject controlled by the Ministry and it might change according to the Ministry’s policy .
Who organizes the tour ? The tour is organized by Visit Knossos a website operated by Panos Kritikos and Ioanna Christofakaki, both professional licensed guides and owners of the travel agency Guides of Greece EE Sustainable Tourism Development – Cretan Tour Experts Boutique Travel . The tour is offered directly to the guests / visitors of Crete and our services are not available through any of the online platforms ( such as Viator, Getyourguide, Toursbylocals etc).
Where should we meet the guide? The professional licensed guide will meet you at the entrance of Knossos palace. We will be holding a sign with TOUR EXPERTS / VISIT KNOSSOS ( our website logo) and the names of the participants . We will also inform you via email prior to the tour, about the mobile phone number of the guide, details regarding the meeting point ( if something has change) etc. . Due to issues of privace and GDPR we no longer print signs with names of the participants – Search for the logo of our company Tour Experts – Visit Knossos at the entrance before the tickets Kiosk . We will be happy to assist you .
I have a rental car, can I park close to Knossos? There are three parking lots available at the palace of Knossos, usually at 16.30 to 18.00 it is relatively easy to find empty space and park close to the main entrance .
The tour is conducted in English, by a professional licensed English speaking guide / archaeologist .
Special Terms and Conditions apply : The tour per person is non refundable. Option to reschedule any day of the season ( from May 2nd to October 1st )
Full refund in case the Palace of Knossos is closed due to a strike or any other unexpected event on behalf of the government or Ministry of Culture and Tourism .
